Tàn tích, lịch sử, truyền thuyết về vua chúa và những người cộng sự, công chúa và hoàng tử, lòng tin và bội tín là nguồn cảm hứng vô tận của Đông Anh. Chúng ta chơi để sống giàu hơn và đầy hơn. Kết hợp hai yếu tố trên là mục đích hướng tới của Sân Chơi Nỏ Thần.
Phối cảnh sân chơi Nỏ Thần
Cách sân chơi này chỉ 5km là thành Cổ Loa nổi tiếng một thời với ba lớp tường đồng tâm, bao sông và hồ và làng mạc, tạo nên một thành trì bảo vệ vững vàng cho thể chế chính trị non trẻ đầu tiên của Việt Nam, vương quốc Âu Lạc cách đây 2300 năm. Trong vương quốc này, Cao Lỗ, một nhà chế tạo binh khí thiên tài, đã phát minh ra cây Nỏ Thần có thể bắn được 50 mũi tên đồng cùng một lúc. Vũ khí đáng sợ này đã đem lại sức mạnh quân sự cho vương quốc của vua An Dương Vương. Rồi bí mật quân sự này bị đánh cắp trong một bi kịch giữa công chúa Mỵ Châu và người yêu Trọng Thuỷ, kẻ thù của nước Âu Lạc. Sự sụp đổ của nhà nước Âu Lạc sau khi bị mất bí mật này (móng thần của Thần Kim Quy), những cánh lông ngỗng vô tội của một tình yêu bị phản bội là câu chuyện nằm lòng của mọi người Việt Nam.
Khi thiết kế, Think PlayGrounds và nghệ sĩ Ưu Đàm muốn đem lịch sử sống động đó vào sân chơi và đồng thời là tác phẩm nghệ thuật ý niệm này. Hình ảnh của một chiếc nỏ thần khổng lồ bị phân thành 4 phần, rải quanh sân chơi, ẩn, hiện giống hình ảnh của từng đoạn thành Cổ Loa trong hiện tại, sự hiện diện chắp nối của lịch sử. Như trong cuộc sống, chúng ta ở trong và ngoài, chơi đùa và trốn bắt trong lịch sử, tàn tích và truyền thuyết. Khi leo trèo, chơi đùa và chạm vào Móng Thần trên Nỏ Thần, chúng tôi hy vọng lịch sử của kinh đô Âu Lạc và những bài học của nó sẽ không bị quên lãng. Cha Mẹ là cánh cung vững chắc, các con trẻ những mũi tên đầy hứa hẹn. Mong các em sẽ bay xa vào tương lai. Với sự nhắc nhở của Móng Rùa Thần Kim Quy, mong trong sự chơi, nhận thức về lịch sử bi hùng của vùng đất này sẽ tạo ra những công dân tài năng, những người có thể bảo vệ quê hương và hệ sinh thái của của Trái đất lúc ngay lúc này.
Trong quá trình thi công dự án, người dân ở đây trực tiếp tham gia vào các bước, từ lên ý tưởng, thiết kế, hỗ trợ vẽ hình, quét sơn và chính người dân sẽ quản lý, bảo vệ sân chơi sau khi được bàn giao. TPG sẽ duy trì kết nối để hỗ trợ sửa chữa sân chơi nếu bị hư hỏng. Đặc biệt, trẻ em cũng được góp sức từ những việc nhỏ nhặt như vẽ, tô màu… giúp các em có điều kiện tư duy và nâng cao ý thức gắn kết cộng đồng.
Hy vọng lịch sử của kinh đô Âu Lạc và những bài học của nó sẽ không bị quên lãng và đây sẽ là sân chơi với tính chất vừa chơi vừa học, vừa học mà lại vừa chơi cho trẻ em.

Ruins, history, legends of kings and his men, prince and princess, trust and betrayal, the rich history of Đông Anh is the source of limitless inspiration. We play to live a richer and more fulfilled life. The combination of those two ideas is the realization of this Magic CrossBow playground.
5km from here, 2300 years ago, once stood a sophisticated Cổ Loa citadel with 3 concentric walls circled rivers, lakes and villages to protect in its heart a young Âu Lạc kingdom. In this very first administrative body of Vietnam government, Cao Lỗ, a military genius invented a Magic Crossbow that can shoot up to 50 arrows at once. And then, this formidable military feast was stolen and Âu Lạc was defeated by its neighboring enemy soon after. This was told in a tragic story of trust and betrayal between the princess (Âu Cơ) and her husband (Trọng Thuỷ) who is the enemy's prince. The lost secret of the Magic CrossBow, the telling goose feathers, the upset King, have been in the heart and mind of the Vietnamese ever since. Legend said that the military secret was gifted to the King An Dương Vương by a Magic Turtle (Thần Kim Qui). The magic is its special claw.
When building this playground, Think PlayGrounds và artist Ưu Đàm would like to bring to this work of art that lively history. The image of a giant Magic CrossBow in 4 parts, scattered around, like a ruin, reflects the reality of Co Loa citadel, parts hidden and parts visible at different places in Đông Anh, just like disconnected history. Life is a big playground where we are constantly moving in and out of history, living with, playing in, hiding and seeking in those ruins and myths. When climbing in and out of the Magic Crossbow, we hope the history of the Âu Lạc Kingdom and its lesson will be kept alive among its sons and daughters. Holding on to the special claw, may their play and awareness of that great and tragic history will bring forth the best and brilliant citizens who can protect their country and our Earth’s ecology when need be.
FROM THE STUDY OF MEKONG CULTURAL HUB: THINK PLAYGROUNDS A CASE STUDY OF CREATING A PLAYABLE HANOI
Magic Crossbow Playground: (1-3) Collaboration with an Artist: Dong Anh Project The project, developed in Dong Anh between the end of 2020 and February 2021, was a collaborative effort with artists to improve a plaza in a residential area in the center of town, and was carried out in partnership with the Women's Union of Hanoi. The project was therefore a close collaboration between three actors: TP, the Women's Union, which seeks a safe space for young women’s relaxation and amusement, and Uu Dam, an artist who creates works in public spaces based on conversation with the community. The main funding source was the British Council
April 2021 In this project, Uu Dam proposed the installation of a structure that would serve as a landmark symbolizing the area. He referred to the legend of the ruins of the Co Loa Citadel, located about 5 km from the site, and chose as a model the crossbow, which is said to have been used by King An Duong Vuong in the 3rd century BC to defeat foreign enemies. Then TP gave it a structure that can be used as a children's playground equipment for climbing or hide-and-seek. On the day of the unveiling, Uu Dam and the residents held an event to paint the structure colorfully and complete the whole process. This project added a new element to the children's playground that TP has been working on. Namely, it is not only a space for children to play, but also a landmark for the local community, and has educational effects on local history and culture. Here the playground became a highly meaningful site that bundled multiple functions related to the entire community
